Fun seekers on the Lagos
Island and Lekki axis of Lagos State are in for a swell time as frontline
entertainment centre, Scintilla Events Centre aka Scintilla Place, has wrapped
up plans for a spectacular re-launch which holds soon.
According to Mike Chukwu, Chairman
and Managing Director of the platform, it’s going to be a totally new and
rebranded event centre that would redefine entertainment.
“The Scintilla Place is
actually the first centre built purposely for entertainment in Lagos. As I
speak to you we have wrapped up plans for a spectacular re-launch. It’s going
to be a blast event as the crème de la crème of entertainment would be on hand
to make it a resounding success.”
Chukwu added that to make
sure the re-launch is a success, the management of the platform has poached
some of the best hands in the industry. They include Ajibade Olatomirin
Richards, Princess Afagwu and Kingsley Nwangwu.
“What we are coming out with is a totally new
package that provides customers with top flight services. The environment is
secure, serene and comfortable and we have spent the last couple of months
upgrading Scintilla. We have added new services and upgraded our facilities,”
Chukwu boasted.
Commenting on why the
platform had to shut its doors for a while, Chukwu revealed that it was due to
the construction of the Lekki/Ekpe Expressway.
“As a consequence of the
expansion of the road, direct access to Scintilla which is located at the toll
gate close to VGC was prohibited and so customers did not have access to their
favourite event/entertainment spot so management felt it was in our best interest
to close shop and discontinue service."
