REVEALED: Real reason Ooni was not at his own wedding

LAST weekend, the city of Benin City, Edo State, came to a standstill when it played host to the marriage of the Ooni of Ife to his new bride, Olori Wuraola Otiti. Indeed it was fun and excitement. The event was well attended by members of both families, including chiefs and high chiefs. Though the wedding was fixed for Saturday, March 12, to make sure that all plans went well, Ooni High Chiefs sent a delegation to Benin for the wedding and it was led by the scion of Ogunwusi Kingdom, Prince Aderopo Ogunwusi who is the father of the Ooni. However, one person who was conspicuously absent was the Ooni himself. Commenting on why he was absent at the wedding, a source said: “Tradition does not permit the Ooni to come for the wedding. It is a known fact that the Ooni cannot prostrate before anybody and cannot also beg; tradition forbids him to do that! Another thing is that he cannot see his father in the open; he must prostrate for him. These are among many reasons he was left out...

Tuface’s pal, Elfreda Zoe electrocuted

TEARS flowed freely in far a way Seychelles when Tuface’s close pal, Elfreda Zoe, was electrocuted at a public beach during a picnic with her family and friends on March 12. According to a source who spoke to Entertainer, tragedy struck when Elfreda fell while dancing with her daughter. “It was fun all the way and we were all celebrating. Elfreda was in high spirits and dancing with her daughter when suddenly she fell and landed on a live wire and was instantly electrocuted! “It’s such a sad tale. One moment she was dancing and the next she was dead. But the consolation is that Elfreda died doing what she loved doing best which was dancing,” the source added. Popularly known as Efrikoko, she featured in a video with Blackface and was friends to Tuface and his crew whom she met 10 years ago in Seychelles while Tuface was on tour of the Island nation. She was also a friend to Ruggedman, Timaya and OJB among a host of other artistes and visited Nigeria twice every year until h...

Fani Kayode’s emotional moment

ON the outside, he presents a bold and confident miem. Little wonder during the dying days of the Jonathan administration, he was everywhere talking and defending his boss. However, there is another side to Fani Kayode that people don’t know about, and guess what it is, it is his soft side. These came to light a while ago when he followed his wife, Precious, into the labour ward during the delivery of his only son. “Not many men are bold enough to go into the theatre with their wives on delivery day for obvious reasons. However, Fani Kayode was in the labour ward with his wife. “Fani Kayode decided to go into the labour ward with his wife because of the close bond he wants to cultivate with his son. Remember, he has never had a son before so this was a very special moment for Fani-Kayode. He had always prayed for a son and when it finally came it totally swept him off his feet. “He was right there and saw everything. It was a remarkable experience. What mothers go through durin...
