It's tears of joy and
celebrations in the home of award winning gospel singer, TV presenter and
producer of popular TV business show DE Marketplace, Ify Chukwu, who has just
delivered a bouncy baby girl eight years after she had her first child.
“The delay wasn't
deliberate,” an excited Ify Chukwu told tonyogagablog, “it’s God that gives children
and today he has blessed me with a baby girl eight years after I had my first
child. My joy knows no bounds."
Married to Okechukwu Chukwu,
the couple have been waiting upon God for another child. Recounting the
experience, Ify described motherhood as a rare privilege.
“Motherhood is a rare
privilege and the pain mothers go trough to put to birth is an enormous
sacrifice. The whole experience makes me know more than ever that every child
is special. I asked Him for help and He answered me. To Him is all the glory.
My daughter is Queen Victoria Louisa Ifeoma Chukwunonyerem.
“My son
who would be 9 years in June is so happy and glad. He actually prayed her into
existence! While we were waiting on God, at some point my son became so lonely
and I told him point blank, you will never be alone. God will provide you with
sibling, just keep praying. God will answer us! And He did in His own time.”
Ify says she was so
frustrated before she got pregnant at a point she even considered IVF and child
adoption. In fact, it was the month that she started the process for adoption
that God visited her.
“Up until now I feel like
am dreaming. I thank God for His mercies and kindness towards me. To all
awaiting couples please don't give up on God and on yourself because He would
answer you in His time.”
