BREAKING NEWS: RUSSIAN PLANCE CRASHES ON MOUNT SINAI

A Russian passenger plane has crashed in the Central Sinai according to reports monitored on CNN. The aircraft was travelling from Cairo to Russia.  Details however are still sketchy but latest reports from Russian state media says it was an A-321 airbus with 224 passengers on board. HOW I GOT NOLLYWOOD BREAK - JOSEPH BENJAMIN

BY DEJI AROLOYE Once upon a time he was a starry eyed wannabe but today, he is one of Nollywood’s most sought after actors. Actor, Joseph Benjamin has declared that indeed it was rough and tough when he came into Nollywood in 1995. Speaking with Entertainer recently, Benjamin advised upcoming artistes to hold on to their dreams even in the face of difficulties.   “I remember my first movie was in  1995. It  was a struggle for me but I kept pushing. I had tenacity and I didn't stop improving on myself.” Another tip from the multi-talented artiste is that reading could help in enhancing one’s skills fast. “Reading has helped my craft. It has helped me in building a sustainable brand. The only regret I have is that if I had known the things I know now, I would have moved faster. Everybody has a journey in life but what sustains you is your drive to succeed,” Benjamin added.

South African based Nigerian singer, Lucci Gucci is hot! LAGOS AGLOW FOR ZAFAA AWARDS

The stage is set for the seventh edition of The African Film Festival and Academy Awards (ZAFAA), which holds in Lagos between October 28 and October 31 at Eko Hotel & Suites Victoria Island, Lagos. IMOH EKUKINAM WINS MISS AKWA IBOM PAGEANT

IIMOH EKUKINAM POSING WITH THE FIRST AND SECOND RUNNERS- UP Miss Imoh Ekukinam, a final year student of the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has emerged winner of the Akwa Ibom Anniversary Queen Pageant which was held on Saturday, September 26, at De Dome Events Center, Uyo, Akwa Ibom. In a contest which could simply be described as keen, Imoh beat 24 contestants to clinch the crown. Aside the star prize of N.3m, Imoh also got a brand new car and a one year modelling contract .
