Telecoms giant,
Etisalat, is picking up the tab for the Nigerian premiere of Chimanda Ngozi Adichie’s
Half of A Yellow Sun, which holds on
April 25. This is coming on the heels of a successful premiere of the epic at the
38th annual Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in Canada and
the BFI London Film Festival, London.
Director,
Brands and Communication, Etisalat Nigeria, Enitan Denloye said, “We are
delighted at the success of this movie and are proud to be sponsoring the
Nigerian premiere. Etisalat is pleased to be identified with this unique work
of art that places Nigeria proudly on the world map and promotes the movie

Directed by
Nigerian playwright, Biyi Bandele, Half of a Yellow Sun stars BAFTA
Award winning and Oscar nominated actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton,
Genevieve Nnaji, Onyeka Onwenu, O. C. Ukeje, Zack Orji and Anika Noni Rose. Set
in 1960s Nigeria, Half of a Yellow Sun is an epic love story weaved the
lives of four people caught up in the turbulence of the Nigerian civil war. Half of A Yellow Sun was shot at Tinapa
Studios, Calabar.
