As the countdown to the
celebration of philanthropist and Christ Royal Family Church General
Overseer, Bishop Tom Samson and his wife’s 50th birthday celebrations,
which hold on Saturday, December 12 gathers momentum, it has emerged that
celebrities including Commander Ebenezer Obey, Paul Nwokocha, Mercy Aigber and
Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st will headline the event.
According to the Chairman
of the Organizing Committee, Deacon Iyke Kanu: “Because it’s the 50th birthday
of our great bishop, we have put in place several committees to work
effectively to make the event a glorious one. The plan is to have a
carnival-like birthday party that will continue to reverberate many years
after. Evangelist Ebenezer Obey, Paul Nwokocha, Mercy Ayigbe and comedian,
Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st are among a host of celebrities that will grace
the event
The celebration kicks-off
on Sunday, December 6, with a Birthday Lecture delivered by Hon. Barrister
Segun Odubela, who will speak on The Role of the Church in
Nation-Building. Venue is Oranmiyan Hall, Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
On Monday, December
7, Bishop Samson will visit Ijamido Orphanage Home, Sango Otta, while on
Tuesday, December 8, he will visit Little Saint Orphanage, Egbeda,
Lagos. On Wednesday December 9, all road lead to the 100 Hectares
Royal City, Iyesin Otta for Camp Meeting, while Thursday, December
10, will witness a novelty match between Royal Men & Women at Royal
City Stadium, Iyesin, Otta, by 4pm.
Friday December 11 is
Music Fest which kicks-ff by 4pm at Monarch Hall. The event will hit
a climax on Saturday, December 12, when the birthday proper holds.
