Who
says there is no ability in disability should read this. A 25 year-old man living with Down
Syndrome, Solomon Omere, has just landed the lead role in
Wale Adenuga’s TV series, Super Story.
Commenting,
an official of the platform said: “The Down Syndrome Foundation Nigeria
recently collaborated with Wale Adenuga Productions, to create a special Super
Story Drama Series.
“Godwin
is a unique drama about a young man named Godwin with Down Syndrome, whose
search for love and acceptance exposes him to extremely sinister individuals
who would stop at nothing to get his inheritance.”
“Godwin will create
awareness, exposure and inspire people with Down Syndrome and show the world
that when you judge based on a diagnosis, you miss out on their abilities,
beauty and uniqueness.
“Godwin
has proved a point to every individual that disability does not define a
person. Watch out, therefore, for next seasons episodes of Super Story,” the
official added.
Godwin
also features Zack Orji, Jide Kosoko, Chinyere Wilfred and Kehinde Bankole
among a host of others. It will be shown on TV Stations nationwide for 13
weeks.
