Talk
about a woman who knows her onions and you talk about ex- Lux model turned
business tycoon, Ibidun Ighodalo. The wife of Pastor Ituah Ighodalo of Trinity
House has definitely carved a niche for herself in the area of events and outdoor
decorations. Little wonder, she was on the payroll of the Lagos State
government for many years under the Fashola administration doing what she knows
how to do best.
In
case you don’t know, Ibidun is the brains behind exotic decorations across the
Lagos metropolis whenever it is Christmas.
However,
all that changed when Governor Ambode stepped into office and she lost the
juicy deal. Sources in the know say she lost the deal because the new helmsman
felt her fees were too exorbitant and indeed, her enemies thought it was all
over for her.
But
beautiful Ibidun has since rebounded and taken her game to the next level.
Unknown to many she handled the Christmas decorations for Nigeria’s biggest
carnival and outdoor event, the Calabar Carnival, which holds annually. She
also handled the annual Christmas Carol for the Akwa Ibom State government
during the yuletide and of course, the hard working lady is smiling to the
bank.
“It
was a very busy year for Ibidun. As a woman who knows her onions, she was very
busy during the yuletide. Despite losing the Lagos deal, she handled the
Calabar Carnival and the annual Akwa Ibom Christmas Carol. Right now rather
than going on vacation, she’s has been hopping between Paris and Venice
working.”
