ANGEL UFUOMA LANDS LEAD ROLE IN SUPERSTAR, NIGERIAN INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FILM

Beautiful actress, Angel Ufuoma, recently arrived Lagos from New York City after landing the lead role in Tony Abulu’s mega blockbuster, Superstar. In a chat with tonyogagablog, Angel expressed her joy that at last, all her hard work and training was finally paying off. And guess what, the music industry based flick is expected to parade some of the biggest names in Nigerian music  including Iyanya, Tekno and May7seven as well as top comedians like AY, Ushbebe and Pencil, while Angel will lead a Nollywood cast which includes Rachael Oniga, Beverley Naya, Tina Amuziam, Jide Kosoko, Hafeez Oyetoto and Toyin Aimaku.

Meanwhile, angel recently participated as a special guest at an audition for the search for a talented young Nigerian vocalist for Superstar, which will be presented to main stream theatres in the US and UK and would be distributed by Silverbird in Nigeria and Ghana.

Tonyogagablog caught up with the producer and director behind the project, Tony Abulu at the auditions and when asked why he selected Angel to play lead he said: “I have watched Angel develop in Nollywood and I have been quite impressed with her development especially since her training in New York. She is very versatile and her range is quite broad. I am tipping her as one of the new superstars that will emerge in Nollywood.”

On her part, Angel believes that her fans will see her in a wide range of personality traits in Superstar. Angel also believes that Superstar will afford her the unique opportunity to showcase her talent.
