this chat with superbassnaija, the musician and graduate of Engineering opens up
on what music buffs should expect.
On May 28 you are launching three albums in one. What should your
fans expect?
I will be launching three
different albums in three different genres and creating a new world record as

music fans should expect nothing less than a spectacle of master showmanship in
three different genres of music filled with breathe taking performances.
What kind of music do you play and who are your
influences?
I am professionally a rock
musician. However, I can play anything musical. My influences are endless but
relating to rock music my main genre apart from Reggae and Rocklife ( a new
genre I originated), I will say Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart, My father, Jim
Hendrix and Carlos Santana. For reggae, my influences includes and are not
limited to Bob Marley, Lucky Dube, Musical Youth, Blackky, Ras Kimono, Majek
Fashek, Maxi Priest and a host of fantastic Nigerian guitarists and musicians
like, Sir Victor Uwaifo, King Sunny Ade, Chief Ebenezer Obey, Dr. Victor
Olaiya, Sunny Okosun, Bongos Ikwe, Prince David Bull, Eddy Grant and Rex Lawson
among a host of others that inspired Rocklife.
We understand Denrele will anchor the Red Carpet. Why
the choice of Denrele?
We are actually having a Green
Carpet because in my opinion, there is no red on our National flag. Denrele
because we have come a long way and beyond his madness is a heart that
resonates passion and creativity and that, i can very well relate with. Also,
based on the fact that almost everything about this album launch is out of the
box. I had to look for someone out of the box to compliment my abnormality.
Nonetheless, we also have a lady with a soft spot for giving you what you need,
Miss Gloria Maduka of inspiration FM will be joining him on the Green Carpet.
Which celebs are we expecting at the event?
We have endorsement from
many stars and celebrities, many of whom have been my fans, patrons and friends
for over a decade such as Elvina Ibru, Bimbo Akintola, Ramsey Nouah, John
Okafor(Mr. Ibu) Actor, Singer and percussionist also performing with me, Mr. Wale
Ojo, Jazzman Olofin, Legendary Sir Orlando Julius, Diana Bada, Mz May, Adeh,
Naytan, Ypick etc.
How many albums have you released till date?
Just one very exclusive
album that is not available in the market called Diary of a King Volume one. I
only sell it wherever I play, so only my fans have it. The three albums to be
released on May 28th are actually Diary of a King Volumes 2, 3 and 4
