Why I wear mask like Lagbaja-Saint Leo Iheanacho

Saint Leo Iheanacho, aka the masked man is an up and coming artiste who says his vision is to liberate the oppressed with his music and be a voice for the voiceless. And one thing that sets Saint Leo apart is his mask which creates an aura of mystic around him. Currently he is signed onto USA based Deedee Records and is working on the release of his debut album.
In this interview with Superbass, Saint Leo speaks about his dreams.

Excerpts:
How do you get inspiration?
Music is in my blood. I won’t say that I do music because music runs in my veins; it’s who I am. It started when I was a kid and fell in love with music and ever since I have never looked back. I do circular music.

How would you describe your style of music?
My style is basically hip hop R n B with elements of highlife and afro beat
What do you sing about?
My message is all about fighting against injustice and corruption in the country. Also my music brings joy to people; the masses especially, the oppressed. Some of my songs are danceable while some preach against immoral dressing. Ishembaka, my hit song speaks against immoral dressing.

Why do you wear a mask?
My mask represents fighting against injustice and corruption in the country. Also the mask is the symbol of my brand which is Saint Leo Iheanacho aka D Masked Man. I am fighting for the downtrodden, the voiceless. My dream is to see Naija music rule the world.

We understand that you’re working on your album. Could you shed light?
My album is coming out pretty soon. I have many songs. They include Gimme D Microphone, Rock Dey Gooo,  Ishembaka, Bam Bam, Lele Uku, My African Angel and many more.
As an artiste, tell us about your ideal woman?
My ideal woman is hard working, God fearing, natural, beautiful, passionate and intelligent. I love quiet women who are realistic, humble and caring.
Tell us about your label, Deedee Records?
I am signed as an artiste on Deedee Record, a USA based label. We are new in the Nigerian entertainment scene but we are here to stay. Deedee Records is like a family to me. Deedee Records believes in me and my talent so we are like one big family. Deedee Record is trying to take me and the rest of us on the label to the next level.
